for him. It will be presented by Congressman William J. Hughes to Tyler, who has been a local banker for 25 years. Tyler was instrumental in helping the Lower Chamber acquire its present building. He organized the original building committee and has helped all along the way with the project, which is just about completed. He is second vice president and a member of the board of directors of the County Chamber of Commerce. Tyler writes a local weekly fishing column. He is an active member and officer in many, county organizations as well as the first Methodist Church Court House.

prior to December 31, 1982 and completed by June 30, 1983. “We are attempting to stimulate the off season economy by helping builders deliver affordable home mortgage rates of 12% on limited new construction” said Frank Strohm, president of the Cape May County Savings and Loan Association. "We believe our innovative program will be welcomed by Cape May County residents who are in a position to currently commit to a new home or duplex construction as outlined in our limited fund program. This special fund offer, by Cape May County Savings & Loan Association, stipulates thfil those applying must have been a resident of Cape May county for four years or more and that no mortgage will exceed $75,000 on single family or $100,00d on duplex residences. The amount of the loan will be a maximum of 80% of the value of the land and building as determined by their appraisal. On mortgages issued under this plan, the annual interest rate will be 12 per cent until December 31, 1985. During that period monthly payments of interest only will be made based upon amount actually disbursed to applicant. Mortgage applications will not be accepted for personal use of Cape May County Savings ( Loan employees, directors or attorneys. Nor will this offer apply to real estate brokers or salesmen, builders, or immediate families of any of these.

Two Cape May County residents have retired after a total of 71 years’ experience with New Jersey*" Bell Telephone Co. The are Mrs. Mary Lou Mattera of Rio Grande, who had 30 years, and Everett M. Springer of Court House, who had 41 years. MRS. MATTERA. a repair service clerk, joined the company in 1950 as an operator at Bell of Pennsylvania. She is a member of Atlantic City Council, Telephone Pioneers of America. Springer, a technician in Court House, joined Bell of Pennsylvania in 1946 as an insideman. He, too, is a membdr of the Telephone Pioneers.
