Casimir (Kaz) Wulkowicz' seven-piece group started as a polka band in 1948 in Reading, PA. Xittiger’s GermdnAlpiners Band, the Tyroleans, the Leroy Heffentrager Band and El Botteon/the Bavarian Ambassadors will all perform. v El Botteon’s life has been devoted to promoting German ethnic music. At a young age, he organized his 14-piecc orchestra and has been sponsored for a onehour long radio show for many years over the networks in Eastern Pennsylvania. His six-piece group plus a female vocalist has been touring throughout the United States. SATURDAY AFTERNOON will provide the excitement of many polkas being played, featuring The Pqlha Star Dancers
from Long Island. The Polka Stars have been featured nationally on NBC and CBS. Following through with the Auerhahn SchuHplattiers German dancers going through their extensive dance routines and show. THE AUERHAHN group from Reading, Pa., is being brought back because of the enthusiastic acceptance at the last festival. The Oktoberfest will be rounded out with traditional German food and, of course. German beer. The aroma of khockwurst bratwurst, souerkraut, funnel cakes and other German and American delicacies will stimulate appetites and create a thirst.

ENTERTAINMENT will be presented at a stage area, Eighth and Asbury Ave., and will Include the Greek dancers, gymnastic demonstrations and a f novelty drum act featuring Michael Pestritto, who will play 22 drums
simultaneously. The Ocean City Art Center will begin its Walkathon to benefit New Jersey State Ballet performances 9 a.m. in front of Staintoh’s Department Store, corner of Eighth and Asbury. The Ballet will offer two free performances at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Tfcr. 8 p.m. Oct. 2 and 9. The dance company will also give free lessons during the week. SEVERAL LOCAL radio stations will do remote broadcasts from the Block Party and organizations such as the Gateway Regional Theater, tl.S. How the Other Half Loves by Alan Ayckbourn. Director James Louis Niesen and SJRT Artistic Director Paul Aiken auditioned over 200 actors in New York for the six available roles. Tony Pasqualini, who will be playing Bob, has worked at such theatres as Arena Stage, Williamstown Theatre and Folger Theatre. Dominique Cieri, with New York and London credits, will play the role of Fiona. C.B. Anderson. Frank in SJRT’s production, has performed at The Guthrie 'Hieatre and Circle In'the Square. Elizabeth Bussey, Mary, has credits at The Guthrie. Theatre and in London. Teresa Tolen has performed with Actors Theatre of Louisvillfe, and Terry Griess has worked with Long Warf Theatre and New Jersey Theatre Forum. * The show opens SJRT’s sixth season as the only year-round Actors Equity theatre in the South Jersey area, and will run Oct. 6 to 24.
