Banks Merge NEWARK - The merger of two member banks of First National State Bancorporation has been approved by the Comptroller of the Currency and will become effective at the close of business Sept. 30. The two member banks to be merged are First National State Bank of West Jersey, headquartered in Burlington.

Russow resigned.

Russow' resigned when he sold his business. David’s Shoes, in Stone Harbor to re-establish it in his home town of Ventnor. FISHER HAS BEEN on the governing body of the chamber for many years. He currently is chairman of the Merchants Commit-

tee and has run the Merchants Day Sale fof a number of years. He manages * the Tru Value Seashore Supply store. In his new capacity he officiated at the September meeting and presented Mrs. Vickie Wear with a silver plate for her activities with the Women’s Civic Club over the years. She was singled out for directing the Little Miss Stone Harbor Contest and in the past for her work on

the Baby Parade.
