Scout Cookie Sale On

WOODSTOWN - Three thousand one hundred and forty four Brownies of the Holly Shores Girl Scout Council, which encompasses Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties, will be knocking on doors in their neighborhoods selling cookies. The Girl Scout Cookie Sale will begin tomorrow Oct. 28, and continue until Nov. 15. This year, the girls are selling seven varieties of cookies made especially for Girl Scouts. They are Nutty Chocolate Chip, Caramel Delites, Shortbread, Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Assorted Sandwich Cremes, aod Peanut

Butter Sandwich. All of these varieties are free of artificical preservatives and color, baked only with vegetable shortening, they are Kosher and freeze well: THE GOAL this year is 215,000 boxes of cookies. The cookies sell at $2 a box, of which $1.30 goes directly back to the local Girl Scouts. The troop can earn up to 50 cents per box and the Council 80 cents per box. Profits are used by the troop for camping, equipment, trips, programs and all troop and Council activities. . Holly Shores Girl Scout Council is a United Way Agency.
