PARTICIPATION in "Tidemark” is encouraged from 8 am until noon. Participants should wear dark warm clothes and bring work gloves. A reception will follow at the park at 1 pm. Rain or Wind Date is 8 am, Sunday, Oct. 31. Contest For Farm Pictures TRENTON - There is still time to photograph the fruits of New Jersey’s rich harvest and beautiful countryside this time of year. Entries in the New Jersey Agricultural Society’s fifth annual Farm Photo Contest are due by Dec. 31. A top prize of $250 will be awarded for the best black' and white picture.' The society is particularly anxious to have top quality black and white/ photographs because they can be used so extensively. A $100 GRAND prize and a $50 second prize are also being-offered for the top 35mm color slides. The slides and photographs submitted in the contest will be used by the New Jersey Agricultural Society, the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and other farm organizations ' throughout the state. OPEN TO H O T II amateurs and professionals. entrants do not have to live in New Jersey, but all photographs must have been taken in the Garden State. The contest is divided into three categories: farm people, farm animals and farm scenery and still life. Fifty dollar cash prizps-will be awarded to the Wmner oK each category in both color \ and black and white. A j total of $650 in caslrprizes / will be awarded. PRINTS AND slides submitted for the contest will not be returned. Negatives will be required of all prize winners for reproduction purposes, but upon request will be returned in six months. v Winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges with expertise in agriculture and photography.
