MILLVILLE - State Sen. James R. Hurley has called for immediate action on a health hazard alert bill that would warn the public of the danger of using grade K-2 kerosene to fuel .portable space

The proposed legislation would require retailers and wholesalers of K-2 kerosene to post warnings stressing the use of such fuel in sotne unvented space heaters could lx* hazardous to one's health. The bill would also require the Division of Consumer Affairs to inspect retail kerosene dealers for compliance. “I'M CONCERNED about the public’s health,” Hurley said. ‘‘These heaters are in homes and they're going to be used. My purpose isn’t to limit the use of kerosenes, but to warn the public that a danger dxists when it is used in heating ducts not connected to the outside air.” K-2 kerosene is heavy in Tomlin Gets AF Scholarship » CAPE MAY — Andrew J.
