Council Seeking Art Panelists
TRENTON - The New Jersey State Council on the Arts is currently seeking panelists to review FY 1984 matching grant/fellowship applications for dance, music, theatre, visual arts, crafts, photography, film/video, poetry, prose, and finance. Tug McGraw MDA Spokesman The Muscular DystrophyAssociation (MDA) has named Phillies pitcher, Tug McGraw, as spokesman for the associatiorv’s new oil recycling program. ’ « The relief pitcher-has endorsed a program which urges do-it-yourself oil changers to take their crankcase oil toTMDA collection centers, raner than disposing of it improperly and polluting the environment. * ■ Petrocon Corporation, a Delaware Valley based oil recycling company, is working with MDA and has enlisted several of its existing customqrs as MDA collection centers: As such, they can donate all or part of their used oil revenues to MDA and will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the value of that oil. Officials from both organizations stressed the importance of enlisting additional collection centers before the program goes into full swing. 'Currently,' there are 90 centers in the tri-state area and according to Hans Henzel, spokesman for Petrocon Corporation, 250-300 such centers are needed for the program to run smoothly. Any facility with oil storage capability, such as service stations,, repair garages, auto dealers, township buildings, etc...are encouraged to participate as an MDA collection center by calling toll free in Pennsylvania 800-562-3404, and loll free in New Jersey and Delaware 800-523-3740.
