‘Secret Of Thanksgiving’

RIO CRANDE - The Secret of Thanksgiving will be the theme of Pastor Fox's message at the 11 a m worship at the Rio Grande Bible Church, Sunday. At 7 p.m. the Pastor will speak on A Privileged People. The Sunday School, will Start Campaign For Stewardship STONE HARBOR - Mrs. Margaret Johnston will •Serve as the chairperson for this year's Stewardship Campaign at St. Mary’s church, Stone Harbor. November 21st has been designated as Stewardship Sunday for the Parish. Members will be asked to complete their Pledge Cards for the 1983 church year. St. Mary'-s church will conducl its Thanksgiving service on Wednesday, November 24th, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Wesjey H. Martin, will give the evening’s message. Episcopal Umrch 'vSTONE HARBOR - The Episcopal Church Women of St. Mary’s, Stone Harbor, meet Monday afternoons at 12:30 in the Parish hall. Mrs. Frank Rollo is the president of‘the E.C.W. During the year the group sponsors various fund rais ing activities as well as workshrps for its members. St. Mary's choir sings during the 10 o'clock Sunday morning service. It is under the leadership of Mrs. Edward Leighton, the church's organist and choir director. Practices are held Thursday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday mornings at 9:30. Delegates Meet ^ STONE HARBOR - The 198th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey met last week at Rider College in Suburban Trenton. St. Mary's, Stone Harbor, was represented by Dr. and Mrs. Eugene B. Spitz and James B. Owings. The Rt. Rev. Albert Van Duzer, Bishop of New Jersey, led the delegates.

Girtain to Rise Fri. On ‘Godspell’ N. WILDWOOD - Wildwood Catholic High ' .School will present the musical GODSPELL at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 19,, 20,21 and 24 in the school auditorium. GODSPELL portrays the jubilant celebration of the Gospel as told by St! Matthew. JohrL-Michael Tebelak, the show’s author, believes that the passion of Jesus .Christ was to teach Jove and joy in the hearts of people. He makes use of many theatrical devices, including children’s games^charades, puppetry and vaudeville antics. Portraying the lead in the production is senior Steve Jakel. Other senior^ are Lamar (Jim McConnell), Peggy. (Sharon D’Andrea), David (Tom Daning), Joanne (Liz Capper),. Sonia (knren Ruggieri) and Herb (Steve DeRitis). Christmas Bazaar RIO GRANDE - The Cape May branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter^lay Saints will hold a Christmas Bazaar this Sat., Nov. 20, at the Rio Mall here beginning 10 a.m. Articles for sale will include decorations, gifts and baked goods. This bdzaar is under the auspices of the church’s Relief Society, and all items have been handcrafled by church members. Proceeds will be given to the Church.
