RIO GRANDE - Thanksgiving is still to be heard from, but the Cape May unit of the American Cancer Society is reminding people that an attractive Christmas gift may be obtained at its offices. “ It's a cookbook that's called "Fresh From The Garden State," prepared by American Cancer Society volunteers and including 21 recipes from Cape May County residents alone. The society has 450 copies available at its office at 15 Delsea Drive, Rio Grande, (886-1154) near the Rio Mall and each may be purchased for $6. The additional cost for mailing is $1.25. The office is open every Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. "Why not avoid the last minute rush of Christmas shopping and get .a copy of the cookbook now for the people you know who love to cook as well as those you

know who love to eat?" suggests Mrs. Carol L. INlcDonald, cookbook chairman. The money raised from the sale of the books will be toward research, support of public education and to aid county residents fighting the battle of cancer. "What better way to help each other than by improving our own eating habits ana &t the same time contributing to thfr fight to eliminate th'is dread enemy of cancer," ' said Mrs. McDonald.
