Dune Check Given

AVALON - The Avalon Home and Land Owners Association, under the leadership of President Thomas McKettrick presented a check to the Avalpn Environmental Commission to purchase dune grass to replenish the area hit b]7 the northeaster a few weeks ago David Church supplied 3150 dune grass Pollen to be delivered and planted on November 12th and 13th The work force is being supplied by area high school and junior high students. The area of beachfront between 8th and 9th Street in Avalon was badly damaged during the

recent storm and rapid replanting and hulding are necessarjrfoVy to restore and protect this dune area. The Environmental Commission has tried to keep the landowners and residents .aware of the importance of dune preservation in order to preserve the borough in the event of severe storms. The Home and Land Owners and the Environmental Commission do their best at keeping a high level awareness among residents and pro perty owners as to various damaging effects on the community at large.
