Dining Guide TIIANKSGIVINCi DAY is now just a hop. skip & a jump away and it’s a grand celebration of family, feast and festivity, and we hope your loved ones will be near you Bedlime/hJs now arrived for the wild things out of doors, in forest, field, park. and. vacant lot. Here in the last week of November. Nature is settling in for her long winter sleep. ' Down along the meadows the toads and frogs and crayfish have burrowed into the mud; in the ponds the carp and catfish have hidden under the bottom. Horses' and cows and tiogs and. cats and other haired animals have thickes-coats and birdi* have thicker feathers. Up in the trees the squirrels have built their winter nests of leaves where they caruiurl up in their fur coats and be snug when the cold wjhds and rains and snows of winter come. - "I All of these sleeping animals and many others, too, ate all the food they could during the past few weeks so that they won’t need any food now for a long time. Almost all of the flowerS have finished their work and fallen. The mums have been beautiful this month, but they too arc over now except ip places where they are well
protected.
It's bedtime for Nature. We don’t call our bedtime the saddest time of the day. After a long active day people like rest. So does Mother Nature. In about 90 days Nature will
be waking up again. Keep them in mind.
