Time Out — Dining Guide
’Now E'afth is in her deep sleep and the hour hand of the year's clock draws close to low twelve. Gray shades hang low; the voice of cold is heard in the land." —Haydn S. Pearson DEt'KMBKR a/rwes today and with it comes the anticipation of Christmas. Time to think about Christmas trees, and Christmas shopping, and the sights & sounds of the season. . There’s usually lots to do this month. One of those things seems to be to dodge the winds which seem to whip up suddenly and subside abruptly. It s wifiter alright, but the earth is not quite yet a frozen place. • b • The night shy in winter is fascinating to observe. Stars which are near the sky’s north pole are always in our view at night They seem to change their position Aough, as we move along in our paths. For example, th<*U*ig Dipper, which never goes entirely below our horizon, is just now very low in the north sky. It is lower now at nine o’clock in the evening than at any other time during the»year. Later in the night it gets higher and higher in the sky. Suggest you bundle up for the trips outdoors to observe the skies. Seems just yesterday we were out there on thej beach getting a nice tan, doesn't it?
