member of the Center's Research Review Committee. According to’Dr. Capuzzi, "His Eagerness to participate and his wisdom have clearly impressed all members of our committee.” William .Diller Jr. is president of the Stone Harbor Vacation Honi&for the Blind, has served as president of the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, is currently president of the Avalon Zoning Board. He is also chairman of the County Planning Board, and has served as a director of the Stone Harbor Lions Club. • • • LAST WEEK the Matt and Drew Woolery'i of 3rd Avor gave one of their aljhost non-stop fun bfches. This one was
enlivened by the return of 'Councilman Harry a Strohmetz and his wi(e Jessie, Mayor Tom > Clydesdale, of Lower Twp.' . and his wife Alice, and Marcelle de Laurentis and husband Ray.' All six were exuberant about their trip to the Carribbean on the M S. Southward (NCL Line). They stopped first at Cosumel, then Grand Cayman, and finally Ocha Rios, Jamaica. They arranged the cruise thru the Wildwood Travel Agency so they would see new spots. The stop Jessie Strohmetz liked best was little San Salavador. Only five people live on this island. • • • THE SONG says "It’s so Nice to Have a Man Around the House.” That's especially true at this time of year when there’s so much work to be done both in and outside your home. That’s why MAM Home Improvements was conceived. Mike Daugherty. Jr. (whose mother owns Andre's Hairdressing) and Mike Cohway (whose mother owns Maid to Order have joined forces to provide almost any improvement your house may need. Among other services, they'll landscape your property, clean your yard and garage, clean brass or silver, wash windows inside and out, paint fences, or paint inside the house. They are completely reliable, conscientious, workmen. « DAUGHERTY and Conway are not the only guys on the island starting new businesses. We purchased a carpet remnant from Avalon Carpet. Tile and Flooring ‘ last week and were told to contact Joe Raffaele, Jr. and .his brother Gary, of Woodbine, to install it for us. Joe, who actually lives in Del Haven, apprenticed in carpet laying in Pompano, Fla. He returned here and took his brother Gary into the business. The other two entrepreneurs in the area are Sandy Williams and Joe Miller (son-of Junle and r Miller of Avalon) who amf operate Steak ‘n Things on Mechanic St. in Court House. (Page 8 Please)
