Winter Tree Finder by May and Tom Watts is one of a series’ of gTeat little guides from the Nature Study Guild, Box 972, Berkely Ca. The book only covers deqduous trees and is designed to be used as. a dichotomous key. You precede by making a choice between paired descriptions of characteristics proceding through a series of couplets until you reach a «final determination of the species. If you are impatient to use the key you can always just match your specimen with the illustrations. The book includes range maps and symbols indication habitat

The Tree Identification Book by George Symonds isn’t exactly light weight. A full size book it is packed with blqck and white photos which are grouped into pictorial keys including leaves, thorns, flowers, fruit, twigs and buds and bark. In addition, part II, The Master Pages, is arranged by species, showing on one page all the characteristics of that'species. Available in hardback or pap# this book has a campanion volume entitled the Shrub Identification Booh. Both are very usable by the interested amateur. Publisher: William Morrow and Co., Inc.

Story Tree At Library -COURT HOUSE - The County Library’s Story Tree offers a youngsters bedtime treat. v The Story Tree is the Library's specially decorated ChojEtmas tree, where every oroament has a story. Goldil<}|ks, Prince Charming, the Tin Man, Mother Goose, Raggedy Ann, Red Riding.Hood and Jack & the Beanstalk are some of the famous characters on the tree. The storytime lasts approximately a half hour, followed by a special short Christmas filtp. At 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9, an animated film version of The Twelve Days of Christmas and a special showing of Cosmic Christmas, an animated film about three visitors from outer space who come to earth to find the meaning of Christmas, will be shown. The Dec. 16 presentation beginning at 7:30 is the hourlong. animatioqed version of Rudolf the RedNosed Reindeer with the voice of Burl Ives as Sam the Snowman.
