Police Set Open House OCEAN CITY - The police department will hold an open house 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, to provide area residents with a chance to learn about crime prevention and tratfic safety, at the Public Safety Building, 835 Central Ave. “The purpose of this is to provide citizens with insight into the operations of the police department”, said Chief Domonick . Longo.- "Citizen involvement is the key to crime prevention. It is our hope that by providing this inside look it will provide people with a better understanding of our job. and will better enable us to serve the public. MEMBERS OF the local police force will give presentations on crime prevention, fire prevention and traffic safety.’ Longo said that the department began planning the event rfiore than two months ago and wanted to*hold it before the holiday season. Visitors will be given a tour of the facilities and will learn how the police communication network is set up. In addition the breathalizer will' be displayed and short films on crim^ prevention and traffic safety will be shown. Free literature will be given out on crime prevention and traffic safety.
