WILDWOOD - Conllnuing a family tradition begun 46 years ago, Thomas P. Byrne has joined the staff of the J Byrne Insurance Agency here. The family tradition includes not only the insurance business, but the choifce of university as well. Thomas Byrne, his father Jim Byrne, and his brothers' Jim and Tim graduated from Rutgers University. Tom’s sister Pam is attending Rutgers. A 1981 GRADUATE, with a degree in business administration, Tom also graduated from the College of Insurance in New York City with a diploma in risk and insurance. Additionally, he has successfully completed seven of the ten courses leading to the designation as a For Engineers TRENTON - Governor Thomas Kean has proclaimed Dec. 6-10 as Consulting Engineers Week in New Jersey to honor the profession’s service to the public, it was announced recently by Ralph F. Visco, president of the Consulting Engineers Cduncil of New Jersey. Consulting Engineers are responsible for the design of heating, cooling and power distribution systems for public buildings of.all types. They are professionals engaged in private practice and' are not affiliated with manufactuters or contractors.

He is now working in the commercial sales departmeht of the agency. The Byrne Agency employs 30 people in the Wildwood and Avalon offices! He is also responsible J for servicing many of the existing agency insurance accounts, insuring that their clients’ policies are kept up to date with proper coverages. The newest family member of the agency has had a busy year. Shortly after graduating from the college of insurance he married the former Marceda Grande. Tom is serving in aleadership capacity for the 1982 United Way campaign. He is’a member of the Optimist Club and the Wildwood Golf and Country Club.
