Students Presenting Tragedy
ERMA — The students of Lcwer Cape May Regional High School will present the Arthur Miller tragedy, A View From the Bridge, at 8 p.m. Thursday. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-11. Set in the shadow of the . Brooklyn Bridge, the play explores the shattered hopes and dreams of a family of Italian immigrants who secret two illegal aliens during the early 1950’s. MILLER PROVIDES a seering portrait of a family caught between traditional responsibilities to itself and the inevitable changes which modern America thrusts upon its members. He comments as well on the pain and suffering of an over-protective uncle faced with an age-old problem: what to do- about the youngest family member (a niece) bent on making a life for herself, perhaps away from them all.
