NEWARK - New Jersey Bell has asked the Board of Public Utilities to approve a plan that would allow telephone customers to.buy the phones they now lease Under the plan, to be implotachted by Jan 31, singfadine residence and business customers will have the option of purchasing Standard. Princess and Trintjine phones in desk, wall, rotary dial and Touch-Tone models. For customers who continue to lease their phones, the company will continue to provide maintenance and repairs without addi-

More Crop Insurance tRENTON - Crop in surance offered to fanners by the U.5. Department of Agriculture's Federal Crop Insurance Corporation will be extended to.more crops in more New Jersey counties for the 1963 crop year, state Secretary of Agriculture Arthur R. Brown Jr. announced. The corporation board of directors has approved 823 additional county programs for 1983 crops, including Hunterdon and W&fren. for oats and Camden, Cape May, Ocean apd Warren for soybeans, said.Brown. A county program is the authority.to sell crop insurance for one crop in one county .'' THE AGENCY currently insures 28 crops in 14;498 county programs across the nation and the additional county programs are part of a continuing expansion program. Crops included in the additional county programs for 1983 are soybeans in M5 counties, oats in. 384, potatoes in 44, peanuts in 33, tobacco in 70, peaches in four and grapes in three. TW'USDA agency also will prepare regulations for covering hybrid seed crops in'.the 1983 crop year.. Brown said the plan will insure seed' for producers who are under contract to
processors.
