COURT HOUSE Two Middle Township High School Seniors, Tom Hutchinson and Rich Rhinesmith. were selected by the Newark Star Ledger to the All State Group FI Football Team Hutchinson was selected to the First Team Offense as center while Rhinesmith was placed on the Third Team Defense as linebacker ROTH LOCAL players were also selected to the

Courier Post South Jersey All Group II First Team, while Hutchinson was selected to the Courier Post All South Jersey First

Team.

Hutchinson was also honored as South Jersey Offensive Lineman of the year by the Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club of Camden and named Scholar-Athlete and cocaptain of the All South Jersey Team

Fire Company and C-View Inn Jr. Division tied 2-2. The twins, Karl and Kurt Hughes, each scored for the Fire Co. Quinne Corbett didlih excellent job as goal tender for the Fire Co. Senior play between Fire Co and C-View ended with Fire Co. 4. C-View 3. Craig Oreo scored the first goal of the game for C-Vicw in the first period The Fire Company’s Jimmy Peck scored 40 seconds into the second period. IN THE SECOND period. C-View took the lead 3-1 behind the goals of Jim M c.B ride and Scott Crookston. But. by the third period the Fire Co. had rallied and took the game 4-3 behind the goals of Bobby Hnllingsead and two by Roger Schellinger. Volleyball Resumes CAPE MAY - Volleyball action resumed in the city after the holidays. Whippoorwill Cam pground was not affected by all that holiday feasting In a match against Buck's Electric, came out full sw ing against Buck's, winn ing all three games TOM SWENK for Whip poorwill was all over, playing the low balls and the balls off the ceiling, while Robbie Jansson excelled in all aspects of the game and Tom Lowy had the winning serve in all three games 15-13. 15-3 and 15-12. Chris Durkas, Ernie Troiano and Steve Halbeison played well for Buck's Bill Holt. Mike Bonner and Ted Ferrante played an extremely tough game for the Shammers against . Library III, winning the first two games 15-9 and 15-8. hut then Andy and (ieorge Butler and Dexter Faunce rallied and t>eal the pants off the Stammers in the third, 15-0 Gloria's and Roth's went at it and after the first two games, it was hard to say who was going to he victorious. with Roth's winning the first game 15 8 and Gloria’s taking the second 15-11. But. in the third game Roth's squad apparently wore down the defense of Gloria's and took the game 15-7 and the match.
