Fishing Tourney Awards
SEA ISLE CITY - There were 27 winners in the 1982 Greater Sea Isle City Fishing Tournament which ended Dec. 31. according to Tournament Director Cliff Vansant Winning entries included an 18 lb 2 oz blue fish, a 5 pound sea bass, a 10 lb weakfish. and such rare fish ^is a trigger fish, a stargazer and a 32 lb cownose ray All fish were caught in waters adjacent to the city •THE LETS GO Fishing' Tournament was a great success, as usual, with a great number of en tries," said Vansant, noting that the city awards prizes to winning entries. "We had winners from all over New .Jersey, Penn-
sylvania* and Delaware,” Vansant said, "and we are very pleased with the participation." IN ORDER to be eligible for contest prizes in the yearlong contest, fishermen had to take their catches to one of the many official weighing stations in the city for certification. Prizes were awarded in nine categories, with a first, second and third prize for each. "Our 1983 Greater Sea Isle City Fishin' Tournament starts March 1, and we look forward to seeing some record catches this year," Vansant stated.
