COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Department of Public Affairs has mapped out a 20-event schedule of travel shows this year according to Freeholder- Anthony T . Calanoso, department director. More than 2 million prospective vacationers will receive county literature at the shows, which began in' Annapolis. Md . Jan 7-9 Staff members are in Dept ford this week Tlic travel shows have long been the major thrust of the department's efforts to promote tourism to Cape May County Over the years, the shows have proven to be an effective vehi cle to both develop new markets and service established ones, accor ding to Calanoso As a free

service, the Department of Public Affairs will distribute municipal, organizations, and private brochures at the shows. BROCHURES may be taken to the information centers in Cape May. Wildwood and Ocean City Other drop-off points include the borough hall in Stone Harbo r , city hall in Avalon, city hall in Sea Isle City, the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce on the parkway, and the Department of Public Affairs located in the ter , minal building at the Cape 1 May County Airport Brochures should be delivered in sufficient quantities to cover all shows, as once the staff leaves the county, they remain on the road for long periods of time, and com-

Atlantic Community College will offer evening care for children of night students and other in teresled members of the community at its new Child Care Center The evening program will be available Monday through Thursdays 5-10 p m The fee is $1 50 per hour CHILDREN BETWEEN 18 months and 12 years will participate in games, stories and arts and crafts A snack will be served dur ing the evening Homework help will be available The center is equipped with cots for resting Evening care is just one service offered by the center Also offered are prc-school care and a half day session for kindergarten children ACC’s CHILD care center offers a comprehensive early childhood pro gram concerned with the emotional, social, physical and cognitive development of each child Staffed by qualified specialists in early child development and care, the program provides developmentally and individually appropriate experiences and activities to all children enrolled The center, in J-123 on campus, is open from 7:30 a m Monday through Friday For more information, contact ACC’s Child Care Center. 625 1111 or 646-1950. ext 347
