Kellie’s Bows to GView Inn
CAPE MAY - In the City Hockey League Jan. 20, the Junior Division players from the C-View Inn and Kellie's faced off and CView took the game 3-0. after scoring a goal in each period. Tod Shoffler muscled ib two goals and Carl Hughes one. In the match between the Volunteer Eire Co. and Dellas Stores, the Fire Co. went on to victory 3-0 behind/tWo goals by Jesse Mattsingei and one by Ed Kane. SENIOR DIVISION play between C-View Inn and
Keltic's, had Keltic's dominating the game at the end of the second period 3- 0, Keltic's had a brief comeback, scoring two goals behind Paul Cronin and Craig Oreo, but then Jon Axelkson scored his third goal of the evening to clinch the win for Keltic's 4- 2.. Dellas Stores and the Fire Co. played an exciting game that at the end of the third period was tied 3-3, but the Fire Co. powered their way through the third period, scoring four goals to win the game 7-3.
CG Air Station, Exxon Triumph CAPE MAY - In the men's volleyball match between DcKelco and Cape May Exxon Jan. 14, Exxon came out strong in the first game, beating DeKelco 16-14, bul DeKelco kept its opponents on their toes throughout the game and in the second game, overcame Exxon HHl Exxon hung tough with the help of Tom Eckel and Kick Hoff to win the match in the third game, 15-12. It appeared to the spec lators that Breakwater Electric was going to dominate its game against USGC Air Station as it took the first two games 15-6 and 15-4, led by Jerry Griffin, head cheerleader for Breakwater. USCG Air Sta tion rounded up their own team spirit and pulled off a victory in the third game, 1G-14, G)urse Openings CAPE MAY - The city has a limited number of openings still available in the following recreation courses: Tiny Tot Learn to Swim, Adult Learn to Swim, Diving Class, Scuba Diving. Yoga. Karate, CPR. and Super Saturday. New classes in MultiMedia First Aid and Basic Rescue are scheduled to begin Feb 9 and Feb 27 respectively.
