This is a dedicated group of ladies, both young and near- . young, who do so mVJoh*/ They’ll be cooking the turkeys id the Parish Hall well-equipped kitchen. All is neat and clean, and the result will he one you'll enjoy so much. Remember last year people had to be turned away, the response was so great. So do plan to get your tickets now It’s 884-3891, 884-8141, 884-5289 and 884-4770. CAPE MAY Rescue Squad Auxiliary is having something different. On Friday, Feb. 25, there'!! be an frll-day home-made soup or hoagie sale (whichever you prefer, or both if you like) at the Franklin Street .School auditorium. Cooking will be done right there in the newly equipped kitchen by all the auxiliary women. You can sit down and have your home-made vegetable soup and hoagie right there. Take-out orders will be available too. The food Is delicious, the service great, and the smiles always there at Murphy’s in Courthouse. Chief cook is Bill Prosser, who resembles a very proper English actor I know. Assistants are Doris Meddings and Barbara Cor-
onet. The atmosphere and food is "just like home” and the same daily returning customers proves how good it all.is. • • • IT’S A GIFT to be able to handle children, to make them smile, too, while taking their picture That’s what (iene Sandel, portrait photographer at Murphy's does. Gene hails all the way from Brieile, North Jersey,' plays bl^se guitar, does some composing, but most of all he like children That’s why he can make them, smile even though thAir first reaction is to cry The end result of lovely portraits is so pleasing to the mothers. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Gladyx Tobin. Mary Effinger, and Carl Smith. GET WELL SOON, to Emily Dugan (also known to some as "Gertrude">. Thomas Casino, Carol Prosser, Mary Pine, Catherine Borella, Betty Shim. Bertha Whitman and Mary Valetta. Also, many, many prayers to Granville "Pele" Stiles, so sick in a Washington, D.C. hospital Wife, Shirley is constantly at his side hoping he'll recognize her. IN MEMORIAM—The three young men, Nick llober, Fred Fischer and Michael Ewing, lost at sea ahroard the clamming boat, Christine Ann. Over 1,000 turned out for the memorial servicTTat' Uur Lady Star of the Sea Church; people waited in line outside hoping to get in. There were those who knew the young men, and family, of course, but there were literally hundreds who didn't know them at all. They came in respect, they came because they, too, were-parents and the feeling of hurt was more than they could bear within themselves. It was, indeed, a regal tribute.
