St. Joseph’s: ‘The Greatest’
SEA ISLE CITY - Pupils in Regina Alulis* fiflh grade class at St. Joseph s Regional School . wrote letters to the Herald and laantern as part of the school s observance of ('atholic ’ Schools Week. Selected ejccerpts appear at right, f 1 Huilt j0^1953, the school ’ serves as the headquarters of Catholic education for the four surrounding parishes of St. Joseph's, St. ^Casimir, St. 'Paul’s and Maris Stella. \ It is staffed by the Sisters of Mercy of Philadelphia and a lay faculty and has one class of each grade Irom kindergarten through eighth.

Ostrander Out Of AF Basic
N. WILDWOOD - Airman Earl B. Ostrander Jr., son of Earl B. Ostrander Sr. of 420 W. Glen wood Ave., and Sylvia Ostrander of 110 E. 24th St., has completed Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The airman, who is remaining at Lackland for specialized training in the security police field, studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received, special instruction in human relations. School Accepts Boro Student POMONA - Ms. Maryann Millar of Avalon has been accepted as a word processing student at Taylor Business Institute. A graduate of Wildwood Catbohc High School and Atlantib Community College, Ms. Millar will be participating in the program which enables students to study a wide variety of word processing systems and have the opportunity to utilize sophisticated word processing equipment. Cancer Drive Needs leaders RIO GRANDE - Volunteers are being sought by the County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 15 Delsea Dr, to serve as Residential Crusade Chairmen or CoChairpersons, of the 1983 Educational and Fundraising Cancer Crusade, which will begin April 1. Crusaders will carry leaflets and coupons encouraging persons over 40 to apply to the local ACS Units for Stool Blood Screening Kits Interested persons may call-886-1154 Auditions Slated RIO GRANDE - The County Unit of the American Cancer Society will hold auditions 1 p.m Sunday, March 6, in Wildwood Convention Hall, for its 7th annual telethon. WILDWOOD CREST - "Renewing Love”, a seminar for all women who wish to grow In God’s love and enhance their spiritual, personal and, family lives will be offered ‘ at First Methodist Church. 6700 Atlantic Ave., beginn ing Thursday, Feb. 24.
