the People Pleasers

Following, some suggestions for giving^ out to enjoy the local restaurants: FRED’S TAVERN—Friendly & then some. People like to get together when the weather is blustery, and we can think of no better place to mix and mingle than Fred’s Tavern Located at 314-95th Street, Stone Harbor, Fred’s has long been associated with the pleasurable times of shore life, no matter what the time of year. The locals and the visitors from afar mingle with each other in the unpretentious atmosphere, enjoying the delightful massive fireplace during the winter The friendliness is a county tradition, well worth savouring with good friends. HERALD’S INN—The Kitchen Stays Open. Okay, it’s late in the evening, and you're feeling like having a snack and a nightcap before winding down from a long day. Where to go’’ Jack Cundiff’s Herald's Inn is just the ticket. Located at Rts. 9 & 47 in Rio Grande, the Herald's Inn keeps the chef on duty until the wee hours So, you can stop by for a delicious late snack to relish during the February doldrums Herald's Inn is an immense place, with dining facilities for parties and banquets as well as cozier moments you want to share with a favorite friend. Entertainment too URIE’S REEF & BEEF—Discovery. A lot of people used to see-the doors of Urie's fabulous restaurant close at the end of the summer season. But. that's no longer the

case!

Urie's Reef & Beef opened this past autumn for year round food, drink and fun Right on Rio Grande Ave. (after the bridge) in Wildwood, there's never a time of year nowadays when Urie’s isn't open to honor you with a great meal CAPT'N ARAB’S—Good Food Capt'N Ahab's

restaurant on Route 47 (Wildwood Blvd.) between Rt. 9 & Garden State Parkway, Rio Grande serves incredibly good food in a quiet atmosphere, much like the old days

before Rt. 9 became such a bustling place.

When you step inside the doors of this friendly restaurant, you'll be surprised how the traffic noises out-

side are non-existent

Inside, the food is deliciously flavored and reasonably priced; the Captain and His Mate await to help you relax with a friendly word or two. Stop by soon.
