Lions Set Kiddie Carnival

AVALON - The annual Kiddie Carnival, a special day to delight and amuse area children, is planned for 10 a m.-3 p.m , Saturday, March 12, at the Community Hall The event, sponsored by the Stone Harbor Lions Club and Women s Auxiliary, will be held rain or shine All age groups arc welcome Admission is free and game tickets will be on sale Local merchants have donated many of this year s prizes including a childs Schwinn reversable bicycle donated by Frank I’andullo of P Q A Kngmeering Company A child's wagon was donated by the Stone Harbor Lions Club and Court House Sta tioners donated assorted gifts
Parents are welcome to take advantage of the Kiddie Carnival’s supervision provided by the Lions Club Women's Auxiliary. Two Perform At A.C Pier COLD SPRING - Two students from the Joanne Reagan Studios performed for Lucille Russo at the Garden Pier in Atlantic City recently. Coleen Sheehan and Denise Dwyer portrayed ‘‘Shoeshine Boys" in a novelty tap routine. Coleen, 7 years old, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sheehan of Cape May. She attends the Cape May Elementary School. Denise Dwyer is 8 and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dwyer of Cold Spring. Denise attends Our Lady Star of the Sea School Both students are members of the ‘‘Apprentice," a traveling company from the Joanne Reagan Studios.
