The students of Lower Cape May Regional High School will present the smash Broadway musical. The Wiz.' March 23. 24. 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. in the Paul W. Schmidtchen Auditorium of the high school. "The Wiz” is the whimsical, modern retelling of the classic "Wizard of Oz." All the characters appear: Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man. the Cowardly Lion, and the mystical Wizard of Oz. Glinda. the Good Witch, has a kooky, scatter-brained sister nam ed Addaperle who helps Dorothy and her friends overcome the nasty and sinister Evilene. the Wicked Witch of the West This story of a little girl s search for understanding and happiness is played oul against a smooth jazz-rock score which includes such chart busters of "Ease On Down the Road." "He's the Wiz," and "Slide Some Oil to Me." This year's cast of more than 50 high school students is joined by 25 youngsters from area grammer schools
