- By JOHN RYAN WILDWOOD - The Women's Bowling Association Tri-County Tournament ended, at Wildwood Bowl, with Cape May County Women finishing strong County women took four first place spots, two seconds and two thirds. First place spots went to : J Sahms and L Blank. Class B Doubles, 1152 scratch, 9 handicap for an 1161 total; D. Karcher and M Larkin. Class C Doubles, 952 scratch with no handicap. FIRST PLACE teams were: Brand X, Class A team. 2474-177 2951; Thursday Ladies of the Morning, Class C Team. 2050-127-2177 In the second were- P Womack and M. Schmitt, Class B Doubles, 1048 19-1067. CAPE MAY - Todd Schoffler scored a goal in overtime to complete his hat trick and win for CView in sudden death to treat the Volunteer Fire Co. in the third and deciding game of its Junior league Hockey final series March 17 Ron Nelson and Keith Peterson had each scored in the second period for the fire company to match Schoffler's two goals in the first period The teams had split in the first two games, with Nelson's goal in overtime winning the first for the fire company and Kurt Hughes scoring the winning goal for C View in the second.
