Boro Hits School Cuts STONE HARBOR Mayor Arden Hand and Council have passed a resolution officially going on record opposing propos ed cuts in the minimum Slate Aid to public schools In opposing these cuts the resolution suites 12 school districts in the coun ty are affected by a loss of $641,000 If the proposed cuts are made school boards who have spent many hours preparing this year's budgets will have to start all over again Council feels there are many other areas in which the state can curb its spending to balance the state budget The resolution further states that reduction in State Aid to schools will m crease real estate taxes and Cape May. with the se cond highest senior citizen population in the state, can ill afford to aid this burden to those with fixed incomes
