Father Held For Death Of Children

COURT HOUSE - Walter Keresty, 26, of Villas, was arraigned before Superior Court Judge James A. O’Neill Monday for the Easterweekend murder of his three children. Campaign Has Odd Ins, Outs

WILDWOOD-Thecam-paign of Earl B Ostrander for mayor has been accompanied by the withdrawal of one candidate for councilman at large, and t! e resignation of Lou Lambert, a supportei. from the city’s parking authority Richard Williams cited health problems in announcing his Withdrawal from the council race, and said he will support Ostrander and the announced council candidates backing him LOU LAMBERT, a member of the parking authority for four years, said he is supporting Ostrander "not because I wish to take over Convention Hall or dictate political parties as Mayor Guy Mu ziani has implied" but because as a businessman and taxpayer he is "committed to the resurrection of Wildwood " On another front.

Ostrander defended his campaign manager. David P r o bin s k y. against rumors, which he said were circulated by Muziani and his campaign committee, that Probinsky is seeking to become city public relations director or that Probinsky has ambitions of opposing Muziani in the forthcoming Assembly election. The rumors arc "totally false”. Ostrander said. Probinsky. who has pur chased a home and intends to take up year-round residence in Wildwood. Ostrander said, has per sonal and business interests in Florida, the Caribbean, South and Cen tral America which pro1 hibit his being able to devote the time required to direct a public relations program for the city. unemployed truck driver, was separated from his common-law wife, Joyce Johnson of North Wildwood. The three children resided with him in Villas. KERESTY was arrested at Burdette Memorial Hospital, where he was being treated for minor injuries received in an automobile accident early Sunday morning. According to Middle Township Plice, Keresty’s car hit a concrete slab near the Garden State Parkway overpass at Rt. 47 in Rio Grande about 5:44 a.m. While investigating the auto accident. Middle Township police officers and hospital personnel became suspicious that Keresty might have harmed the children. They called Lower Township Police who went to Keresty’s home and discovered the bodies. The case is being investigated jointly by (he Lower Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office.

Blood Gifts Show Drop

COURT HOUSE - The county chapter, American Red Cross, has scheduled three bloodmobile visits for the month, beginning at the Cape May Care Center (formerly the Swainton Nursing Home), Rte. 9, Swainton, 1-6 p m. Friday, April 8. Other visits arc at the Lutheran Parish Hall, 289 92nd St., Stone Harbor, 1:30-6:30 p.m Monday, April 18, and Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, April 21. FIRST AID classes have also been scheduled. CPR Recertification classes will be April 13, 20, and 27 Classes in CPR are set April 15, 22. and 29 Registration one week in advance is required The chapter has changed the site of its award luncheon Tuesday. April 12, to The Lodge in North Wildwood. In common with most of the chapters in the Pennsylvania-New Jersey region, the county chapter had a disappointing February in its bloodmobile collections, with a 36 percent drop from the previous February. For the period from July to February, however, totals were down only 8 percent.
