May 1 The obser vance was planned by the Lutheran Social Services of New Jersey and the New Jersey Association of Non Profit Homes for the Aging THE MONTH-LONG celebration was designed by the American Associa tion of Homes for the Aging to pay special tribute to senior citizens and to inform the public of the facilities operated by non profit religious and fraternal organizations which serve the long-term health needs of the elderly Lutheran Social Services of New Jersey operates three Lutheran homes, including the one at (Jcean View, which attempts to meet the social, psychological.' and spritiual needs, as well as the special health needs of their 375 elderly residents LSSNJ currently pro

vides a range of geriatric ambulatory and health related services through its housing and nursing homes to over 1.000 New Jersey elderly persons a day. In addition, from its administrative office in Tren-

ton. LSSNJ operates other social and non-residential services to hundreds of children, refugees, handicapped persons and their families. Its total operating budget exceeds $7.5 million in 1983.

Knights Pay For Steeple N. WILDWOOD - Stella Maris Council, Knights of Columbus, has presented Rev. William Quinn, pastor of St John of God Church, with $8,500 to pay for the steeple on his new church, now under construction on Town Bank Rd , North Cape May.
