Mooney Will Try Pro Tour

By JOHN RYAN WILDWOOD - Several area bowlers tried their luck bowling with the pros as part of the Fair Lanes stop on the Pro tour in Baltimore. Md bowling in the Pro Am Touranment at Fair Lancs Woodlawn April 12 were: Jack Ryan, head mechanic at Wildwood Bowl, Jim Flynn, of North Wildwood, Sandi Russell of North Cape May, Betty Bukowski of the Villas; Ed Horn of the Villas, and Ray Mooney of North Capo May Carol Scogins. manager of the Bowl, was also entered in the Pro-Am but was unable to attend Beverly Moats of Edgewood, Md . a frequent visitor to the Wildwood Bowl, rolled in Carol’s place THE PRO-AM teams a professional bowler with on amateur, combining their two scores plus the amateur's handicap Each amateur bowls three games with a different pro each game Sandi Russell. Betty Bukowski. Jim Flynn. Jack Ryan and Beverly Moats were fortunate enough to have Tommy Hudson as one of the pros that they howled with Ray Mooney included Bo Bowden as one of his partners during the tournament

MOONEY LED the group in scoring with games of 222. 216 and 223 for a 661 series Unfortunately. the pro blowlers who teamed with Mooney could manage only a 508 series Ray was encouraged by his performance, however and plans to enter the Pro tour this summer In addition to the bowling. special consideration was given to the Wildwood group by the Fair l^nes staff, who went out of their way to assist the group, even to the point of providing a bowling ball, bag and shoes to one of the bowlers
