AVALON — Solving such problems as beach erosion, noise control, and group rentals is given top priority by Pauline C Petrica. council candidate at large in the May 10 municipal election. Mrs Petrietf. a long-time summer resident, has been a permanent resident for 14 years with her husband, Steve, and five daughters SINCE: 197a she hn$ been involved in many com munity activities and has worked on various borough projects. Mrs Petrica attended Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Missouri at St I^ouis. and has had over twenty years of business experience She was formerly employed by RCA and the B S. Govern men! in marketing and research She is a member of the Avalon Women's Civic Club, Avalon Chamber of Commerce. Upper Cape Chapter Deborah Hospital. Cape May County Women's Republican Club. Stone Harbor Lions Auxiliary She is a past GOP commit leewoman. corresponding secretary of the Avalon Yacht Club Women's Aux diary, and is an active member of the Avalon Women's Republican Club, serving as vice-president and president for four years MRS. PKTKK A is a member of the Avalon Recreation Committee and for the past ten years has volunteered her services for the recreational needs of the Senior Citizens and the youth of Avalon She would expand this program to include renovations in

the Community Hall, more supervised activities for youth, and more involvement with and for the Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for six years, serving a$ chairperson for two years. She is also a member of a special subcommittee working with the architects and planners for the con ceptual development of the mid-town business district If elected to Council. Mrs Petrica plans to work in unison with the officials, •employees, various organizations and the tax payers She pledges to give first preference to Avalon residents in the use of all Borough facilities

COURT HOUSE - Mid die Township Elementary School 3 will present Its an nual Spring concert 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, with "Springtime in the Country" as its theme Performing will be the Fourth Grade. Fifth Grade and Advanced Choirs and the Beginning. Advanced and Honors Bands Concluding the program will be a rendition of "Take Me Home, Country Roads' , sung by all three choruses and accompanied by the Honors Band. The public is invited and admission is free.
