Salary was $13,094, interest $4,104, and dividends $i 1,081 Capital gains were about $12,000 The official was able to deduct a total of $6,060 and paid $8,741 in taxes on a taxable income of $32,297
And in 1978, the mayor's total income was almost $39,000; $12,240.80 in salary, $3,610.44 interest and $1,093 in dividends Capital gains was about $22,000. According to his returns,* Muziani was able to deduct a total of $5,700 He paid $8,677 in taxes on $30,961 of taxable income.
