If all goes well with , a planning board hearing May 2, center island will be the site ot a new wholesale and retail Philadelphia style Soft Pretzel Bakery The proposed new industry is seeking approval for a location at 314-316 W Oak Avenue, according to Michael Sullivan of Del Haven. The municipal election isn't the only one of interest locally. A large population of transplanted South Philadelphians are still vocal about their exQuaker City home choices. Bud Benson and I^e Bailey are among those wearing large yellow buttons reading. “New Year's Shooters for Rizzo '' Rizzo's brother, Fire Commissioner Joseph Rizzo, is often seen dining at Zaberer's Anglesea Inn. Wherever you go the upgrading of the Boardwalk seems to be a subject on the mind of island residents. The reputable locally owned businesses and splendid piers seem to suffer because of a plethora of T-shirt shops But there's another glim mer of hope Another first class mall will bow at 16th Avenue and the North Wildwood Boardwalk. The DiDonato Construction Co . builders of the posh new North Wildwood waterfront conddS, are the guiding force behind the new mall. It will be dominated by an atrium, the first on the “wooden way.” The atrium will be a glass enclosed structure housing bowers of greenery, flowers, shrubs and trees There will be a 10-shop complex that already includes Douglass Candies, one of Ihe oldest and most successful businesses The location will augment their long time center island «ite at Wildwood Avenue and the Boardwalk. A special feature will be Thomas', a first class ocean-view restaurant that can seat 180 persons.
