Other featured dancers included ballerina Lauren Balliette, runner-up in the 1983 Cape May County Junior Miss Scholarship Program, and Barb Vetrone, who performed a solo jazz dance to "The Other Woman " VOCAL SOLOIST was Lori Schellinger, who has sung in numerous telethons and recently appeared as one of the Munchkins of the Ixjwer Cape May Regional High Schbol production of The Wix. Show Stoppers is under the direction of Nancy Gibson andSuzy Burns. Future performances include the Dancers Two, Inc. recital June 3 and 4, and an Aug. 25 show for the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts. Hydrangea Festival, Sale Set
CAPE MAV — Plans are underway for the annual Hydrangea Festival, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May Chairing the event is Sue Carroll, assisted by Joan Echevarria, Wayne Smith, and Gird Tolley Orders will be taken by mail for hydrangeas to be picked up May 28 at the Kiwanis Clubhouse. In past years Cape May has led other communities ip the number of hydrattgeas purchased. THE JUDGING of hydrangea bushes and gardens will take place in late June. Winners will be selected in five classes: Best hydrangea bush, best hydrangea garden, best red hydrangea, best display around a small home, and honorable mention The Grand Sweepstakes winner will be the guest of the Hydrangea Club at a dinner at Resorts Interna tional July 10.
Seniors Plan For Two Trips AVAl^N - The Senior Citizens organization scheduled two travel excursions. The first, exclusively for Avalon residents. June 16 and 17, is a two-day sojourn to the U.S. Naval Acadetny at Annapolis, Md This trip includes a "colonial life" tour of the city, a parade of midshipmen, and a cruise aboard the "Harbor Queen”. The second trip is a fourday and three-night visit to the Catskill’s Hotel Brickman, Oct 7-10, This trip is open to all on a first come first served basis.
