City Block Party Has Variety

OCEAN CITY - This city’s spring block party and sidewalk sale will be bolstered by ethnic foods, a seafood festival, new car show; craft exhibits and other features. The event is set for 9:30 a m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, between 10th St. and 7th St. on Asbury Ave. Admission is free and three will be free parking on city lots. ENTERTAINMENT for the day will be provided by Bill Bruestle's Banjo Band with vocalist William Sackctt. The South Jersey School of Baton and Dance wijl perform and Sea Oats will present a fashion show, Greek dancers are also on the bill. The Siberian Husky Club of the Jersey Shore will hold a day-long exhibit next to the stage area. 8th and Asbury Ave. The city's hew trackless trolley will roam the block party area and a TV satellite exhibit is scheduled for 925 Asbury Ave. AN ANTIQUE auto show will be held between 8th and 7th Sts and live radio broadcasts will be part o\ the day Local organiza-a •lions will also operate/ booths and the city will sell/© beach tags at the Clerk'/ Ofrtte ju£t off 9th and Asbury Ave Food will be plentiful, with the Polish Festival offering pierogi's and the Greek Festival, shish kabob and pastry. Local seafood establishments

will provide crabs, claims and oysters. Other foods will include Pennsylvania Dutch Funnel Cakes, hot pretzels, hoagies, pizza,

hotdogs, ice cream and soda. The spring park is sponsored by the city and the Retail Merchants Assn.
