Students Win VICA Medals

COURT HOUSE - The County Vocational Schools' VICA clubs competed at the state skill Olympics and brought home gold, silver and bronze medals. The competition, held April 15-16, is sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of AmdHca. This year's

competition was held at the Middlesex County Vo-Tech High. School, East Brunswick. Students received financial support to attend the conference from Cape Insurance Co.. Dennis Township Board of Education, Lower Cape May County Soroptimist Club,

County Chamber of Commerce and the Middle Township Optimists' Club. Twenty-two students represented the County Vocational Schools, com- - peting in four out of a possible 34 areas. The gold medals were won by Mrs. Teresa Bacungan. Cosmetology H; and the Opening and Closing Team, consisting of Joan Millman, Fayth Lewis, Rose Adoranto, Samantha Spaulding, Dawn Sockriter, Tammy Luppergcr and Patty Habcrman. A silver medal was won by Barbara Salvatore for her suitcase display A bronze medal was won by Mrs. Diane L. Burdsall for her suitcase display Gold medal winners will travel to Louisville. Ky . to .com pete in the national skill Olympics held in June. OTHER STUDENTS par ticipating in the two-day event were Jackie Harris, Margaret Bright, Paige Carter. Sharon Caza, Joe Romano, Anthony Becica, James Espisito, Lisa Mu nyon, Robert Knablauch, Dennia Camp. Antoinette Key and Joyce Morse. VICA is the national organization for trade, industrial, and 'echnical students.
