Airport Senior Center Slates Open House, Show
ERMA — "Welcome to Summertime" will be the therrte of this year's open house and craft show at the Airport Senior Center. Building 29. in the Cape May County Airport Complex on Breakwater Road in Erma. May 24, between 12 and 3 pm. The open house is planned as a dual celebration. In addition to observing the approach of summer, members of the Airport Senior Center will be giving recognition to the month of May. which has been
nationally-designated as Older Americans Month. The three hours of festivities will include music, door prizes; refreshments and a display of craft projects. Crafts arc an integral part of the center’s variwl daily ae tivities Some of the items to be exhibited will include beautiful crocheted, knitted and macramed ar tides; sparkling beaded baskets, chimes and plant hangers; fascinating plastic needlepoint items, doll house furniture made from clothes pins; and a
wide range of attractive ceramic pieces which were, executed in the four center operated ceramic classes Senior citizens who are not acquainted with the Airport Senior Center are cordially invited to attend the op6n house, meet the friendly people and help celebrate the advent of summer with them Membership in the center is open to any Cape May County resident who has reached 60 years of age For information about the open house or the Airport Senior Center, call 884-5161

teAPE MAY COURT HOUSE - The Cherri Cor ner at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital offers visitors, patients, and hospital staff a cheerful and convenient spot to shop and eat without leaving the hospital The Hospital Auxiliary, which maintains and operates the luncheonette and gilt shop just off the south lobby of the hospital, has provided many with a quick soda and sandwich, or a last-minute gift or card Mrs Mary Grejner and Mrs Trudi Dennis, who are in charge of the gift shop, note that they sell handmade items for infants.
