Mid-May! Just glorious’ Mother Nature is cooperating in every way, perfecting the landscape for us to enjoy. Life about us is at its high tide, so to speak. Keep a look-out for those returning monarch butterflies, — the ones we saw flying south last October. The milkweed plants along the roadsides are getting well up these days, so the monarchs will find plenty of good for the larvae when their eggs hatch The last of the migrants will be winging in this week. Suggest you check them out along the dunes of Ca’pe May Point Now all the migrant birds, or at least some members of each of their tribes have arrived. Late com 1 ers of all of those due in May will probably be straggling in for a few days yet, but those that are too late will make late nests, arid so give their young a poor start in life For. when the time comes next fall for them to start south, these late birds will be a few days younger, and therefore a little bit weaker and slower than their cousins, and storms are more likely to overtake them as they fly south This is one of the ways Mother Nature has of getting rid of her lazy ones As is often said, you mustn't fool Mother Nature — and it seems you mustn't fool around too much either, as far as Mother Nature is concerned. Vega, in the northeast, and Antarcs, low in the southeast are bright stars of our summer months, just coming into view They will be with us now till we swing around on the other side of our path around the sun. well up toward No. 9 on our clock-face path They will be in September For now. here are some bright stars of the restaurant world we suggest you swing over to: NINO’S — Fine Italian Dining Al Pappagallo takes great pride in his Nino's Restaurant, at 4712 Atlantic Ave tat Taylor Avenue).
