WILDWOOD - Mayor elect Earl B Ostrander announced this week that he and legal advisors are reviewing Atlantic City, Avalon and Ocean City administrative codes in their effort to prepare a code for Wildwood. "It is absolutely critical that our administrative code reflect only the very best attributes of the codes of other municipalities, whose change from the commission form to the councilmatic form of government preceded our charter change,’’ Ostrander said in a prepared statement. Sloan’s Election A First AVALON — In one of the largest voter turnouts in years. Cable Hike STONE HARBOR — A resolution, objecting to an increase in users fees by Warner Amex Cable Television, was passed by Borough Council at its Tuesday meeting The resolution reads in part The Borough Council of Stone Harbor has studied carefully the proposed fees and note the following increases: Basic monthly television and FM charges from $6 75 to $10. installation charges of $25 for the first and $15 for addition changed to $30 for all. monthly hotel/motel from $6.75 to $10, additional connections from $2 to $4, connection charges $15 and $10 additional to $30 and $20 eac'.i additional BE IT RESOLVED that is borough does go on official record with the Board of Public Utilities, that it believes that the rate increases, to the extent applied for by Warner Amex Cable Company are in excess of fees reasonably re quired. and we do hereby object to the granting of such increases

LAWYERS Raymond A. Batten and James S. Webb Jr. are completing a-rough draft of the code which will be submitted to the new City Council by Ostrander. Members of the mayorelect’s transition team will be given copies of the code when completed, said

Ostrander.

He is examining the city payroll and evaluating each job classification to most fairly and efficiently re-organize existing municipal departments into the form mandated for a mayor-council form of

government.

Named to his transition team were: Batten, Webb;

lawyer Anthony J. Fulginiti; Ostrander’s personal representative, David Probinsky; Stanley Higgs, representing Councilman Walter Cottman; Councilman Larry E. Snyder’s representative Rosemarie Snyder: administrative aide James Flynn and secretary Nanette Verna. OSTRANDER invited Wildwood First candidates and newly-elected Councilmen Victor DiSylvester, Edward Herman and Charles Kuski to appoint representatives to the transition team and to meet with him about the

transition.

COURT HOUSE - The Second Annual Memorial Day Services to be held in the Cape May County Veteran’s Memorial Park (Veterans' Cemetery). will take plare May 29, at 1:30 p.m. This event will be cosponsored by all of the Cape May County veterans' organizations. Along with the music pro vided by U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Band, there will be a wreath laying ceremony and massing of the colors of the organizations Civic organizatioas, the general public as well as

veterans' organizations, are urged to attend and participate in this solemn occasion that will perpectuate the memory of those who nobly served the country.
