Rockettes, to the I^atin Casino to see Liberace, held card parties to raise funds to aid the rescue squad, the Fire Co ; helped the Chamber of Commerce by maintaining a food booth at the July 4 PTA celebration, and helped the borough with a grass planting chore % Harry and his lovely wife. Jessie, recently celebrated their 471 h wed ding anniversary and have two children living in Phila. Jim also said he couldn't think of anyone more deserving of the honor It was obviously a very popular choice and Harry accepted the award with a short and gracious word of thanks Jim then made a second award to Mrs. Gerald

He asked her to come forward end "bring a wheelbar row," He presented Dot with a handsome plaque from the Chamber of Com mercc for the club house; a certificate of appreciation from the chamber, another certificate lauding the efforts of club members from other philanthropic organizations, a new Stone Harbor flag and an American flag to fly in place of the older one COUNCILMAN JACK FITZPATRICK read a resolution passed by the Mayor and borough council commending the 70 years of service. Robert Wilson read a resolution of the Board of Chosen Freeholders commending the club for its years of ser vice to the community and all its activities. He also read a letter from Senator James Hurley for its '' seven decades of service " Dotty said she felt like an Academy Awards winner She was obviously over come by the outpouring of praise heaped on the club and spoke briefly on plans for the future, including heating facilities so the club house could be used year round She mentioned the antique show in July, cocktail party in August with the Sea Lions and an art show in September The meeting closed with the in troduction of two new members Bill and Eleanor Donohue of the Pancake House on 96th St JUST CALLED newly elected Mayor Rachael Sloan of Avalon to con gratulate her She and her husband T.
