CAPE MAY - Two films on Soviet Russia will be shown May 21 at 8 pm at the Cape May County Art League, 1050 Washington St The showings arc free "Peoples of the Soviet Union" gives a survey of the various nationalities that form the publication of the USSR and is an enlightening look at the diversity that few people . realize exists in this vast country. “Birth of Soviet Cinema" traces Russia's golden age of cinema in the 1920s through key exerpLs from the mastorworks of Eiscnstein, Pudovkin and Dev zhenko. Richard Schickel, motion picture critic for Life magazine, presents the roots and sources that made the 1920s a high point in motion production The film evenings are a regular monthly feature at | the league They are part of an extensive schedule of activities designed to bring the arts before the local community

CAPE MAY - Heisey glass will be the topic for the program to be given May 25 at 8 pm at the Cape May County Art League, 1050 Washington St. Mrs Rudolph Kaufold of Seaville will be the speaker at this lecture, which is a feature of the league's regular monthly program series. She has specialized in the collection of Heisey glass and is an active member of the .South Jersey Chapter of the National Glass Association.
