"Generations,'' has been placed against the house's exterior brickwork It can be read! ly understood by nearly anyone, it suggests that youngsters, oldsters, each of us and/or any of us need one another. hope to gradually add other sculptures to their lawn, allowing the Victorian city glimpses of quality sculpture "GENERATIONS" is the study model sculpted by Ken Clark for a senior citizens center in Philadelphia Recent legislation in 30-odd cities around the country designates that one percent of the monies used for public building projects must be earmarked for art works Thus, many of Ken Clark’s sculptures are per manently installed at playgrounds, urban centers, parks and commemorative sites throughout the country This week Becky and Ken will be delivering to Philadelphia a lifarsize bronze and structural Vwl figure of a mummer, dancing the mummers' strii, to centerpiece Dickiafon ^.Square, 4th & Tdsker

Another sculpture, "Bronco Buste'r,’.’ was commissioned by Kansas City, as an enlargement of the frequently photograph ed Frederic Remington bronze in the Oval Office of the White House, a favorite piece of President Reagan The Clarks were recently irivited to meet the President at the White House through the efforts of Sen Robert Dole ( R), of Kansas. \ Native Ptiiladelphian Clark met Becky in Kansas when he was commissioned to do sculpture for a memorial to Dutton Brookfield, a Kansas City philantrophist and politician. Farm girl Becky’s sculptures are traditional works while Ken’s pieces are eclectic. Yet. they collaborate on art works — as well as raising a family "JW, ’ who is "a year and a quarter old." accor ding to Becky, pattered around a sitting room, playing with his toys a,s step brothers. Kenny, 13. and Chris. 12, both students at Cape May Elementary School played in a rear garden, also adorned with Hark sculpture Ken and ( hris are Clark s sons from an earlier marriage who await with JW the birth of a baby sister "We are having a girl m mid-.Luly." said Becky Clark; laughing W : hile the sex of l he Clarks' marital 'enllaboru lion' awaits determination, the family has chosen an at-home birth They have made arrangements with a South Jersey doctor who has agreed to deliver their baby at the Washington Street house, if Becky is in Cape May at the time. If the couple is working at a sculpture foundry in Newark when the birth comes, a family friendphysician will make the house call THE CLARKS maintain their foundry in an q*d brewery in a section of Newark that has undergone extensive redevelopment and preservation during the past several years Their studio
provides 20,000 square-feet to develop the frequency massive aesigns But, last October the Clarks moved to Cape May because the old Newark building was no longer suitable for a crawler. And, also because Becky missed the Kansas grasslands. The couple say they conceptualize in Cape May. preparing the waxes in their studio for the works that are eventually molded at the foundry. "I feel so good down here," Becky said. "This is a nice passive environment," Clark added. Both Kenny and Chris like going to the foundry where, according .‘o Becky, the family "can let go of a lot of energy as they create sculptures together "Kenny likes the foundry end of the work, using the air gun and heavy tactical experiences whereas Chris likes the creative end," said Becky. Jack McDonough and Milton Wood have unnounc ed they will work to see that flashing warning lights to erected on Route 631 near the Upper Township Rescue Squad, when they are elected to the Township Committee "A serious problem exists by the rescue squad building in the fact that motorists are unaware of the building and the emergency vehicles departing the area," Doerr stated "A flashing light on either side of the building on the highway would prevent any possible accidents in the area, and warn motorists that emergency vehicles are entering the highway " McDonough noted that such a warning light would be of great help to the rescue squad a group which does so much for the people of Upper Township "The Rescue Squad not on ly needs the help of the
