SUSPICIOUS FIRE — Firefighters from Stone llarhor and Avalon fought a three-hour battle against the blaze that gutted this older building at I0AO9 Sunset Drive in Stone Harbor last Thursday night.

STONE HARBOR - In vestigators suspect arson as the cause of a fire last week that gutted the third floor of an older bayside home at 109 Sunset Drive. "The only determination thus far is that it is a suspicious fire," Stone Harbor Police Detective Anthony Solis said Monday. He said investigators were meeting Monday

afternoon to discuss the probable cause of the blaze. He referred questions to county Investigator Todd Pierce Despite repeated phone calls. Pierce was unavailable for comment before press time, however. Nevertheless, a witness to the fire reported that police cordoned off the firedamaged house and placed "Crime Scene" signs along
