Instructors Needed

COURT HOUSE - The county chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking persons interested in becoming cardiopulmonary (CPR) and/or First Aid Instructors Conlen Gets M.D. Degree

The need for such instructors has increased, it was pointed out by Marie C. Dugan, chapter chairman, because of public awareness and the requirement that life guards must have these certificates in addition to life saving. Instructor candidates must hold a valid certificate or be willing to take a course to obtain it. Call the chapter office at 465-7382 for information.

Airman Given Medal for Merit

COURT HOUSE - Air Force Master Sgt. Norvell L. Bowe, son of local resi-

dent Jane M. Rose and stepson of Rodney K. Rose Jr., has been decorated with the Meritorious Ser vice Medal at Suwon Air Base, South Korea. The Meritorious Service Medal is awarded for outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement or service to the United States. Bowe is a security police superintendent with the 6170th Combat Support Squadron.

STONE HARBOR - Richard A. Conlen Jf. received his doctor of medicine degree (M.D.) from St. George's School of Medicine in ceremonies at the United Nations in New York City May 16. Conlen is the son of Dr and Mrs. Richard A. Conlen Sr. of Stone Harbor and Lighthouse Point, Fla. He graduated from Middle Township High School in 1970 and received a BS in science from Florida Southern College in Lakeland and a BA in chemistry from Florida Atlantic University in Boco Raton Dr Conlen will do his residency at St Michael's Medical Center in Newark 'Zjarzf*’
