Flower Show In June

OCEAN CITY - Schedules outlining rules and competitive divisions for the city’s 11th Annual Flower Show are available at information centers and flower shops. The event will be held at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, 10 a.m -10 p.m. June 10-11. Area green thumbers are invited to exhibit in Creative Design and Horticultural Divisions, according to Andrew Strang, chairman of the Show. There will also be a trade fair inside the Pier with products for sale. Educational displays will be provided by Stockton State College, The Wetlands Institute and the Sea Shore African Violet Society of South Jersey.

THE CREATIVE Design Division will feature arrangements titled "Ocean City Summer", "Love’s Always In Bloom", "Dune Greases and Gulls", "In A Nutshell”, and “Potpourri”. The Horticultural Division gives gardeners a chance to display their roses, peonies. African Violets, house plants, hanging baskets, etc. Ribbons will be awarded as prizes with Best of Show winners receiving silver cups There is no entry fee for contestants. This year’s flower show will feature a new format because of the retirement of a number of key members due to health reasons. Ambulance Corps. Gets New ‘Baby’

WILDWOOD CREST - The Volunteer Ambulance Corps has announced that it is expecting a new addition to its family of training aids. The members of the corps voted to purchase a "Resusa-Baby" for use in training members In the delicate art of administering CPR to infants and small children. It was noted by the membership, in a recent statement, that giving CPR to an infant or small child is vastly different from ad-

ministering CPR to an adult and with the purchase of the "ResusaBaby," corps members will become more profi cient in administering this delicate first-aid procedure. The Crest Ambulance Corps is continuously upgrading its equipment to serve the community’s emergency needs. The Corps will soon conduct its spring fund raising activity.
