Expecting Music-Filled Summer

CAPE MAY - This resort opens its 10th season of free concerts with two special performances in Convention Hall and another at the Christian Admiral Hotel The .U.S. Army Field Band Ambassadors of Jazz will appear July 5 and the Air Force Band of the East will perform at the hall on Aug. 19 during a four appearance tour On Aug 15, The Coast Guard Band will perform in Gardner Hall of the Christian Admiral. The three performances will be at 8 p.m. Because of the large audiences expected, aomission will be by tickets only, which can be obtained by sending a request with a selfaddressed stamped envelope to Box 19. Cape May 08204 Ticket requests for the Coast Guard Band concert should not be mail ed before June 15. Besides the three special concerts, other hands will be performing at 8 p.m throughout the summer in

Open House At Museum

COURT HOUSE - The County Historical Museum, in the historic John Holmes house on Route 9, is spon soring an open house 10 a m.-4 p m Saturday, June II The museum will be open to the public free of charge In keeping with the theme, "In the good old summer time”, many other activities are planned, including; film clips from nearby resorts’ Baby Parades-circa 1927 thru 1929; a 2 p.m. fashion show featuring clothing from the 1890's-1920’s, including swimsuits, dasters, tennis outfits, and lawn dresses, tactical demonstrations by the Cape May County Militia, as well as a display of Cape May diamonds Tickets will he available for lunch, which includes a hotdog, potato chips, soft drink, and a cupcake Lunch will be served from 11:30-1:30.
