Memorial Day Observance in the City of Cape May is planned as follows: Sunday, May 29: Memorial Church Services at the Macedonia Baptist Church. 636 Lafayette St. Veterans will assemble at the Church at 10:45 a m. for the 11 a m. service to be conducted by Rev. Robert O. Davis. Monday, May 30, Memorial Day activities will start at 8 a.rh. Veteran organizations will meet at the Monument at Columbia and Gurney St for appropriate ceremonies and proceed from there to visit all the cemeteries in the vicinity of Cape May. Special observances marking Memorial Day will be held at the West Cape May Park and the Lower Township Consolidated School Veterans Monument Commander John T. Dollinger of the Harry Snyder Post 193, American Legion, extends an invitation to all Cape May area residents to attend these

Arthur Blomkvest, Mayor of Cape May. and Capt William J. Russell. Commanding officer of the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center. Members of the clergy include Chaplin Carl Drake and Rev. Robert (). Davis, with musical selections by the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Band. In addition to their participation in the formal services. the area Veterans Organizations will be responsible for the decoration of the graves of all known veterans with American Flags.
