The Strawberry Festival is Wednesday, June 8, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Colonial House next to City Hall. Sponsored by the Greater Cape May Historical Society, this is an annual event which is quite unique. Each member helps to hand-pick the strawberries a day or two before the Festival! You not only get strawberries that are so fresh, but they are the cream of the crop too!. Here arc some of the goodies: hot dogs only 60 cents; strawberry shortcake (of course air homemade) only $1.25; strawberry sundae, $1.25; ice cream cones 50 cents; ice tea, 25 cents; hot coffee. 25 cents To make the day complete there’ll be a Tombola Table with, very special gifts from the area merchants Joan Peckiconis is chairperson of this event and she says we are not to miss it and to make sure you do not miss any of the goodies. Advance orders may be placed and paid for at the Colonial House which is open every day from 10 a m to 2 p.m My order for strawberry shortcake is already in, how about yours? Order in advance to avoid the crowd!
